Create an analysis job.

You can use this page to run Context By Signal℠ packet capture analyses. Read on to get started.

How it works

Your email address is required to run a job. When your job completes, we send notification to the email address you provide with links to your job output. To protect your privacy, job links are time-sensitive and subject to expiration.

You view your Observation Report in CBS Explorer. You can select and download additional output types. We provide report data in CSV and JSON formats. We'll add plain text reports in the coming weeks.

There is currently no charge to upload and analyze single files. The files you upload must meet the following requirements:

  • Processing is limited to files in Wireshark capture formats of PCAP or PCAPNG. PCAP-formatted files should have the .pcap filename extension. PCAPNG-formatted files should have the .pcapng filename extension.
  • Large files take more time to process. For CBS version 1.0, we enforce a maximum size of 200 MB on packet capture files. Files that exceed 200 MB will not be accepted for upload.

Bulk processing of capture files will soon be introduced. Inquire if you have an immediate need.

Select the options that best describe the capture environment. These labels are associated with your site context.

Step 1

Select a wireless capture file

Upload one capture file of no more than 200 MB in size. Your capture must be saved in a Wireshark format (PCAP or PCAPNG) with the appropriate filename extension (.pcap or .pcapng).

Select processing options

Basic enrichment and inference are included in all jobs. By default, the Observation Report is displayed in CBS Explorer. To receive analysis data in other formats, select from the following:

Step 3

Submit your job

After you complete steps 1 through 3, you can submit your job. You should immediately see a message that confirms the submittal and provides a job ID. You'll receive notification of job completion in email.

Step 4

Review output

Notification is sent to your email address when the job is complete. The notification includes a link to a copy of your Observation Report in the Context By Signal℠ Explorer.
